You may notice from some designs, that there was a connection between Doulton and Pinder Bourne.

These designs, for both companies, were registered in 1880 and 1881.

The Nile Street Pottery in Burslem was occupied by Thomas Pinder.
In 1851, the style became Pinder, Bourne & Hope.
By 1862, the firm was renamed Pinder, Bourne & Co.
Henry Doulton bought into the firm in 1878; however, the name was not changed until 1882 when Doulton took over fully.
The Nile Street factory was where Henry Doulton learned the pottery business, spending 5 years working and observing the production of Pinder, Bourne & Co.
